The main obstacles here though are the Krimzon Guard. There are pedestrians at ground level and zoomers flying around just above their heads, so avoiding traffic is a major concern. The central hub for the game is Haven City, a bustling metropolis with maze-like streets. Just make sure with Jak II that you have a spare controller ready, heh. The game is followed up with Jak 3 in late 2004, which finishes the trilogy. These are a charming trilogy of games, and I'd recommend them to fans of platformers.

While the Future series especially (ACiT in particular) has great writing, those games never showed that, and I am quite fond of that with J&D. One advantage I think the series has over the Ratchet series is how Jak 3 showed the world reacting to the events of Jak II.

Now I do like how they set up Veger and the theme of Jak becoming a badass and living up to his destiny. Haven City - New Haven: Using a zoomer, try looking in the trees. I'll just say the precursor plot twist is stupid, Errol is shoehorned in, and the twist with Damos and Mar is poorly executed. Jak 3 now, had a borderline incomprehensible plot, but considering all of you are likely way more into the series than I am, have probably discussed all the plot deficits to death. Now, yes, the difficulty can be overtly obnoxious and a good chunk of the missions want to make me throw my controller against the wall, but it was still worth it. The driving in Jak 3 in Haven pretty much fixed that.

The driving with the zoomer was really tedious, mostly because of the Crimson Guard AI going bezerk and all the sharp turns. The gunplay just needs better aiming in some parts, and the mech in the last third of the game controls horribly. Jak II now, on the other hand, has an outstanding story, and for the most part solid gameplay. Unfortunately there isn't much depth beyond that and there's no real story to speak of besides "collect these power cells." The Precursor Legacy I felt, wonky controls and Spider Cave aside, was a really charming and solid platformer. I am a hardcore fan of Ratchet & Clank, and really fond of Sly, so I thought I'd give 'ol J&D a shot. The city is all-encompassed by a large barrier wall, which serves to.
